My journey towards scalability and sustainability in the field of engineering started when I developed a robot for the disassembly of mobile phones during my bachelor thesis. I discovered, that robots were too slow for this task to become profitable. I patented a faster robot design. Five years later, the robot prototype was exceeding my expectations regarding acceleration, speed, payload and workspace. My Ph.D. was done. But the patent became sold to China as unfortunately, the control design was requiring too much CPU resources for that time.

Ten years later and I am now the founder of my own company. Scalability and sustainability are still my guiding principles. I never worked on a project as amazing as this one. It feels like physics endorsing this project.

Dr. Mohammad Charsooghi

Computer Vision

I am always passionate about the questions that matter for society and increase sustainability and the quality of human life, whether since I was a researcher in a university or now a developer in a company. My Ph.D. was in Physics in the field of optics/soft matter and I developed image processing algorithms and imaging techniques to recognize objects and patterns. Later in my career path, because of my great enthusiasm for practical questions, I moved from academia to industry.

Here in NASKA Robotics, I develop computer vision algorithms to give robots a vision of the world we live in and help them get acquainted with their surroundings. I hope that by developing innovative methods and bringing artificial intelligence into action we can take effective steps in the sustainability of human life.

Luca Ressel

Clean Tech - Materials Science

In this historical period, the biggest challenge of our society is the transition from a fossil fuels based economy to a net zero carbon model, here at Naska Robotics GmbH we are collaborating with companies to ensure that they achieve this target, in sectors where phase out fossil is extremely difficult. With a formation in Materials Science and Industrial Chemistry I have multiple years of experience in the sustainability sector. In my previous collaborations in the research field I gained an in depth know-how in materials development, technical applications and advanced engineering. Within this company my main focus is the development of our Clean Tech department, in specific the applications of our atmospheric CO2 removal technology.
